Jury Says Convicted Killer of 5-Year-Old Shaniya Davis Should Get Death Penalty #SUCCESS
Jurors say a man convicted of killing a 5-year-old Fayetteville girl in 2009 should die for the crime.
The Cumberland County jury deliberated less than 40 minutes Wednesday before deciding that Mario McNeill should get the death sentence for the death of Shaniya Davis. Shaniya's body was found in a kudzu patch six days after her mother reported her missing.
A medical examiner said the autopsy showed Shaniya was suffocated and had injuries consistent with sexual assault.
The jury last week convicted the 33-year-old McNeill of several charges, including first-degree murder and sexual offense of a child.
After presenting no evidence in his defense at trial, McNeill said Tuesday he wanted no one to testify on his behalf before sentencing. He ordered his attorneys not to give closing arguments.

I love my pimp! Hooker,31,takes to the witness stand to defend her pimps
Pimpin' ain't easy — unless you're this father-son duo accused of sex trafficking.
A 31-year-old prostitute who said she turned tricks for Vincent George Sr., 55, and Jr., 33, insisted in court Tuesday that her pimps treated her right for 14 years.
"I love him ... He's a good father," said Danielle Geissler of Allentown, Pa., who has an 8-year-old girl with George Jr.
"We slapped each other around sometimes but never over work or staying in the life," she added, referring to the hooker lifestyle.
The violence only occurred during their "low" moments, Geissler said, which came when she wasn't sexually satisfied.
"If I didn't get it, I'd hate the world," she said.
Geissler is one of George Jr.'s five "wives-in-law."
The quintet of fawning women appeared in Manhattan criminal court and were expected to testify in the men's defense.
When George Jr. entered the courtroom he looked over at the row of his beaming girls, raised his eyebrows in acknowledgment and gave a sleazy slight smile.
Geissler said she started working for George Jr. on her 18th birthday and that he made sure she always had enough money to pay her mortgage and other bills. She had a house, two cars, vacations, clothes and, according to her, "a full fridge."
But when pressed by prosecutors, Geissler revealed the brutality of the pimp-prostitute arrangement.
She admitted she paid her mortgage to a man who actually owned her house. He promised to give her the house as soon as she paid off the mortgage.
She also admitted she had no bank account and failed to pay her credit cards.
Nevertheless, her devotion to George Jr. — who, with his father, faces charges of sex trafficking, money laundering and other crimes — was complete.
She said she pleaded with George Jr. for permission to get a tattoo of "Daddy Ko" on her shoulder when she was 19 — a reference to her pimp's nickname, King Kobe.
"I begged him for it. [But] he didn't want anyone walking around with his name," Geissler said.
The Georges were busted last year for allegedly using a music recording company and their livery car service to launder millions of dollars for their bordello on wheels.
But defense attorney Howard Greenberg said his clients' line of work was harmless.
"The women, simply put, worked as 'hos' because they wanted to," he said. "Of course they're promoting prostitutes .. . what's the big deal?

Dennis Rodman New Hairdo!!!..WOW!!!
We're certainly no strangers to Dennis Rodman's antics. A couple of weeks ago the former Chicago Bulls star slammed President Obama over North Korea and just Sunday (May 19) he was seen sporting a blond mohawk on the red carpet at the "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" finale in New York. He seems to be the gift that keeps on giving.
To complement his new look, the 52-year-old basketball player caked on the makeup complete with eye shadow and lipstick and topped it off with a blazer depicting cartoon imagery of beach scenes.
Man catches largest python ever found in Florida
A South Florida man caught the largest Burmese python -- 18 feet, 8 inches long and 128 pounds -- ever found in Florida.
The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission said Jason Leon, of Hialeah, found the 18-foot, 8-inch beast while riding in a rural area in southeast Miami-Dade County on May 11. About 3 feet of the snake was spotted sticking out of some roadside brush.
Leon said he stopped his car, grabbed the snake from behind its head, and started dragging it out of the brush. When the snake tried to wrap itself around Leon's leg, he called to his friends for help and then killed it with a knife.
He once owned Burmese pythons as pets and knew how to handle the snake, according to the wildlife commission.
Leon reported the python to the local wildlife commission office, which connected him with the Florida's exotic species hotline. The snake was eventually turned over to University of Florida researchers for a necropsy.
The female snake was not carrying any eggs, the University of Florida scientists said.
"This event highlights how the exotic species hotline allows the public to help us obtain more information about Burmese pythons, so we can improve management of this invasive species," Sommers said.
The previous record for the longest python caught in the wild in Florida was a 17-foot-7-inch, 164 ½-pound python caught in August in Everglades National Park.
Pythons are an invasive species in Florida, where researchers believe they are eating their way through populations of native mammals in the Everglades. No one knows exactly how many pythons there are here, but the population likely developed from pets released into the wild.
Florida now prohibits owning or selling pythons for use as pets, and federal law bans importation and interstate sale of the specieS.
