A Taco Bell worker got into hot water for taking a picture of himself urinating on a customer’s order.* Of course, in traditional idiot fashion, the man put the video onto YouTube, where people let him know that his actions could land him in prison.The man tried to say that the order was going to be thrown away anyway, and that no one ate the food.* But it’s still easy to see why this action doesn’t exactly fit into the Taco Bell health code of good employee behavior.** The company’s leaders are livid over what happened, and the employee has been fired for the incident.
Taco Bell got wind of the incident and issued this statement:
“Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and team members. We have strict food handling procedures and zero tolerance for any violations. As soon as we learned of the situation, we immediately investigated and found the photo was an ill-conceived prank and the food was never served to customers. We find this prank absolutely unacceptable, and we plan to terminate anyone involved and work with authorities to pursue legal action.”
So, it appears that Taco Bell is attempting to say “no harm, no foul.” *But it may be more complicated than that. *We would show you the video, but Taco Bell took it down asap.
