Nicki Minaj Set To Make Big Screen Acting Debut

Nicki Minaj has signed on to make her big screen acting debut in Nick Cassavetes’ “The Other Woman”. She will play as an assistant to Cameron Diaz’s lead character. The Hollywood Reporter says the film is about a woman (Diaz) who realizes she is not her boyfriend’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) primary lover and plots with the man’s wife (Leslie Mann) for revenge. The film will also star Kate Upton. This is not her first time on the big screen as she previously provided a voice for last year’s “Ice Age: Continental Drift”. > Nicki Minaj Set To Make Big Screen Acting Debut - Photo posted in The Hip-Hop Spot | Sign in and leave a comment below!

Nicki Minaj Says Gucci Mane Needs to Get ‘Centered’

Nicki Minaj collaborated extensively with rapper Gucci Mane in the early part of her career. Now she hopes that the incarcerated rapper can redirect his life. During a recent interview with Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9, Minaj said that even though she had not reached out to the troubled Georgia rapper who has been arrested several times and is currently behind bars on a probation violation, she wished that somebody would. "I think about how talented he is and I kind of wish there was somebody that could step in and say, 'Gucci, if you only knew how special you were, you would take a moment to really just like get centered,'" she told hosts Emperor Searcy, Mz Shyneka and Mister Smith. "I just think he needs to center himself. Not to point fingers because I've had moments when I needed to center myself. Sometimes you just need to be alone in a meditating type of place and just kind of block out all the other noise and begin to focus on who you are and what you really want out of life. I think if he can get to that place, he'll be great because nobody could ever deny the fact that he kind of revolutionized a lot of things in the underground mixtape world. He also spawned a lot of careers." Minaj says that in addition to helping her, that Gucci helped Waka Flocka Flame, among others, and that he was a positive influence in her life and career. "He motivated me a lot," Minaj said. "I loved being around him. He's a hustler and so no matter what, I will always respect Gucci." Minaj also discussed her potent culinary skills and her affinity for Atlanta during the Hot 107.9 interview. She also revealed that she'll be shutting down her reality television show appearances and other outside endeavors as she works on her forthcoming third album.

Nicki Minaj: Lil Wayne 'refused to touch me'

Usa Today-You probably can't tell from Nicki Minaj's steamy new music video, High School, but Lil Wayne is a "real Southern gentleman." In an interview with MTV News, the American Idol judge opens up about her highly suggestive love scenes with her boss and friend, Lil Wayne. Though on camera the couple seem genuinely hot for each other, Minaj says they mostly laughed between takes, and she spent a lot of time convincing Wayne to fondle her. "He refused to touch me, he's so respectful, and then I was like, 'Wayne,' I was like, 'You could do this.' But he was acting scared, like: 'Yo, Nick, this is my dream. I'm gonna be a man after this video.' He was just being crazy," Minaj told MTV News. "But if I didn't tell him 'Yes, you can do this' or 'Touch this,' he refused to do it. Like he's a Southern gentlemen, which people don't realize." In the video, Minaj plays a drug dealer's girlfriend who plans on stealing Lil Wayne's jewels, obviously via seduction. Here's the unbleeped version of the video. The most important lesson to take away from Minaj's latest venture is that the song title, High School, has, thankfully, nothing to do with any of the content in the video. On a slightly unrelated note, remember Minaj's double nip slip? In High School, she bares both cheeks — and not the ones on her face.
